Reduce number of restore points

Hi.

I've set in a backup copy job to have 3 monthly backups - but the customer wants to only have 2 monthly backups.
What will happen when I change from 3 -> 2 monthly backups?

Will Veeam automatically delete the oldest one right away - or will it wait until the next monthly full is generated?

GFS Retention will be checked independently from simple retention during the next monthly full restore point creation. Thanks!

I am sorry, but it won't work as I had written above.
According to the information I've got recently from the QA team, it will be checked when the simple retention has exceeded the number of RPs in the backup chain.
If the number of RPs you have equals to the retention value, then the backup copy job will remove the oldest monthly backup on the next run. Thanks!
