Reducing restore points

Hello,

In my backup job, I have the configuration set at 127 restore points (for over 4 months). Currently, I have 83 (items) restore points on the backup folder. We have decided to reduce the backup retention to about a month (about 30 restore points) to keep on disk.

Should I modify the restore points to 30 and then let the system remove them automatically (if this option is available). Alternatively, do I have to remove them manually and adjust my restore points?

I have Exchange 2010 as backup (2 servers in same job).

Saturday: Full (Synthetic), first Saturday of month (Active)
Monday - Sunday: Incremental
