Reducing VM vCPU for restore

Post by rgcooper »

Hello,

If I backup a VM with 12 vCPU's, can I restore the VM with 6 vCPUs?
I searched the forums and checked the FAQs and couldn't find any information regarding this question.

You can restore the VM and then change the vCPU count before you power it on.

Thanks for the response Tom. Is that possible for a SureBackup restore though? I'm not seeing an option within SureBackup to restore the VM's in a powered down mode.
