I am not able to see what value the option "Transform previous backup chains into rollbacks" will hold for ReFS repositories. The synthetic full backups are spaceless. As to my understanding there should be no real gain in storage space on the repository with Transform previous backup chains into rollbacks option enabled. What would be reason for someone to enable this option on a ReFS repository?

I always thought it an intermediate step in converting a chain to Reverse incrementals, from Forward incrementals.
