Hi,
Our business operates a call centre, and some calls are recorded. As part of the freedom of information act here "Ireland", every person have the right to request that all information on about them be submitted, and they also have the right to request that all information be removed, and deleted. We have received such a request, and must comply. Is it possible to mount, and remove the data from our Veeam job's? Its a mp3 voice recording that needs to be removed in this case. Or is a case we wait until the restore points roll over.
Thanks

Re: Removal of personal info from a backup
Kevin, there's no ability to remove data from existing backup file, you have to wait until the corresponding files go away according to retention.

Re: Removal of personal info from a backup
Such requests usually require ensuring that "reasonable effort" is taken. For example, you cannot delete a backup that was sent to the moon in a capsule. Deleting a single file from an image-level backup that has already been taken is close to impossible... all you can do is delete the entire backup.
