Remove B&R association with Enterprise Manager?

My veeam b&r server seems to think license keys are managed by the Enterprise Manager. Its not.

Enterprise Manager is not installed. How can I remove this connection/association? I poked around the registry without finding anything obvious. Same with the filesystem.. Suggestions?

How did you understand that? By getting "VB EM connection is detected. EM forces its license to all connected backup servers." message, while changing the license? If so, the message can be easily skipped (just click "NO").

Just to be sure - are you positive that current backup server is not added to some EM server?

Yes. There is no EM server installed anywhere. At one point there was. But it was quickly removed when I discovered my evil twin had sausage fingers and didn't deselect it when the server was installed a while back :-).

The real reason I want to remove all traces is so I can enable "Update license key automatically". When I toggle this now I get a "This backup server's license is managed by the Enterprise Manager server."

So I have to do actual *work* to update the license. Me hates work!

I think it might be a good time to contact support team and let them remove obsolete references that you backup server seems to have. Thanks.

[MERGED] Error in update licence key automatically

When I try to enable "Update licence key automatically" option, I get an error:

"this backup server license is managed by the enterprise manager server."

We dont have EM any more, so how can i fix this ?

Did you ever figure this out? i have the exact same issue. and now all my backups are failing because the license is expired and wont auto update

Hey Foggy I know this is an old form but it would be helpful if all your support techs had this info. As this form says I created Veeam Support - Case # 03107584 in which a tech is asking me to upload a DB copy vs just remoting on to remove the stale sql record.
