Remove from backups/Disk

Post by darkhorse »

Evening,

General Question.
If I was to use the "Remove from Disk" from the backups section. Is this going to delete all backup references and Backups on disk for this whole Job and all chains?
I would like to select perhaps the oldest backup only for this Backup Job.
I don't want to confirm removal and find all 14 restore points are a gonna.

Thanks for any feedback.

Hello, doing this will remove everything (all backup files for this job). To remove granularly, you can delete unnecessary older backup files manually. The only drawback is that those restore points will still show up in the user interface until retention policy clears them up. If you go this route, be very sure that you know what you are doing, so that you do not remove some "base" backup files leaving all the dependent incremental restore points useless. As always, best bet is to contact our support, and let them do this for you. Thanks!
