Remove Veeam from Domain

Is there a process documented to safely remove a Veeam server from a Windows domain? Will service accounts and user accounts still be able to connect to Veeam server and to the backup appliance? We are doing this to improve security and protection from ransomware. Suggestions?

Depends on what kind of accounts are used. Domain accounts would need to be changed to local ones.
