Renaming a repository server

Post by Jeff L » Sep 27, 2016 10:02 am

Are they any implications of changing the name of a windows server holding a Veeam Repository?

You'll need to either re-add it in VBR under its new name, or, if an IP was used, make sure that DNS issues the same IP.

Thanks

ok doesn't sound too disastrous :)

Presumably the usual precautions of pausing any jobs heading to the repo (it's primarily used for Backup copies) and then editing the jobs to point to the new name? Or will Veeam simply detect its the same Repo, just renamed?
