Replicated VM needs a restart

Post by bproteau »

I replicated a Windows VM and after logging in the OS requested a restart. Is this expected behavior. I'm defining processes for cutovers. Also, is this the same with a Linux VM. I wouldn't expect an actual message requesting a reboot but, I wondered if it should be bounced one more time after the initial power on regardless?

No, it is not expected normally. Sounds like may be this restart requirement is cause by OS seeing some hardware change.

That's what I thought. The source and destination Host hardware is different but, I have had clustered these models before and never saw that. I'll try again and see if I have the same issue.
