Replication data to USB

Post by Bigpants2k »

Hello,

Is there anyway I can copy the replication data that would normally be sent down the pipe to my DR host via a USB drive, that way i can plug into my DR host on a Friday and upload the changes to my DR VM's?. We only have a 3MB link to my DR site and with the amount of data changes it will take forever to go down the pipe.

Many thanks

Hello Allan, seems you're asking about functionality similar to replication from backup. Please confirm whether it addresses your concern.

Yes that looks like it could work.
Is this only available in Version 8 (we haven't upgraded yet)

Yep, this was first introduced in v8, so you might want to schedule an upgrade to be able to use it.
