As I just found out, when I change the "Repository for replica metadata" setting on a current replication job, it triggers a "Calculating Digests", which takes (in some cases) longer than simply deleting the job from disk and starting a new job.
The workaround is simple: copy the "Replicas" folder from the current repository to the one you want to change to first, then make the change in the job (https://www.veeam.com/kb2165).
So my request is: Pop up a warning box when I attempt to change this setting, informing me that I should first copy the Replicas folder to the repository I want to change to.
That would be lovely!!
(Veeam does this when I try to change the repository of a backup job, so maybe it isn't too hard to implement in a replication job?)

Thanks for the feedback, your observations make sense.
