What is in the job log in the Realtime Statistics window, if you select this particular VM to the left? What kind of VM it is? In case it is a considerably big VM hosting some highly transactional application, the snapshot commit time could become considerable as well as the time required to apply retention policy (commit replica VM snapshot).

Are you replicating offsite? What kind of link do you have and what are the bottleneck stats numbers for the job?

Anyway, debug logs will definitely tell what's the job is doing at that very moment. Feel free to open a support case and our technical team will assist you with this.
