Every night we replicate 60+GB over the 20M link. There are times the backup window falls into the next working day causing the release of the snapshots in VMWare to take a longer time. So my question is this.
Is it possible for Veeam to grab the snapshot to a local storage device... then release the snapshot while still copying it over to the remote side. This way VMWare is done with the backup part of Veeam...
Make sense?

Re: Replication over 20M link
Steven, consider doing remote replication from local backups, should address your concern.

Re: Replication over 20M link
So I would need another VMware server at the primary site and licensed for Veeam. Back up to that...then back that up to the remote site?

Re: Replication over 20M link
Nope, just windows-based machine that can be used a backup repository. Then, you will be able to make replication jobs from those backups. Thanks.
