Replication Question

Post by Louharle »

Hello, we are virtualizing Citrix Provisioning Server and rather than utilize shared storage, was thinking about using Veeam Replication to have a second copy of the server - question is, can I replicate from one VM on Host A in a vSphere Essentials Plus cluster to another host on the same cluster, powered off? What ramifications would that have?? My thoughts are that in the event of a failed server, I simply power the other up and I am back and running, then do reverse replication to create another one...

Thanks!

Louis, the target ESX host has to be powered on for replication to work, that's the only problem with your scenario that I can see.
