Replication slow

Post by leiw »

Hello

Our Veeam server / Two ESX 4.1 with Cat6 cable directly connect to Giga switch.

But first time full backup replication job only have 20MB/s ? and compression is optimal.

Thanks !

Hi,

Even tho the first initial replaiction is slow it could be your environment, what speed was the next pass ? I ask this as i find the first pass is always slow for me but the subsequent passes surely do make up for it with very faster speeds

I tested this few days, Windows 2008 R2 only have 3xMB/s in incrementals, Linux is 9xx MB/s.

Why ?

More disk changes, or more disk fragmentation on Windows will reduce processing rate.
