repositories on the proxy server

Post by spf62 »

Hello all,
Here is my config:
VM server running Veeam 6
physical respository srerver running win2008 r2 with 10TB of local storage (1 drive), and a 500GB drive.

I have several veeam jobs backing up to this 1 - 10TB drive into specific folders.

My question is: Should I set up individual repositories per job, or one repository per drive?

thanks in advance

On a repository you can limit the maximum cuncurrent jobs and the ingestion rate.
Since the 10TB local storage is a single raid I suppose, I will go for a single repository, since the two settings will affect the same storage even if you splitted it in several sub-repositories.
