at the moment i am using naming convention to keep control of multiple jobs that we have...
but with the amount of local/tape/offsite backups we have for difference countries and sites and schedules for certain larger/more productive machines...this is a bit of a pain as its growing more and more and with Veeam 9 we are trying to finally make a more central Veeam compared to each country having their own Veeam server
it would be nice to create subdirectories in the console so it could be organised better
also this helps even more with Veeam 9 - as then it could go as far as allowing certain restore operators to only restore jobs relating to their site
as at the moment there would not be much stopping a restore operator restoring a financial/hr drive from a head office file server - well email alerts mainly
anyone else have thoughts on this?
Cheers

Re: Request: subdirectories in console
Jake, isn't the ability to configure restore scope for users what you're looking for?Lagcat wrote:also this helps even more with Veeam 9 - as then it could go as far as allowing certain restore operators to only restore jobs relating to their site
