Restore 2008 DC's

Hi,

we are about to test the backups of the Exchange Server and 2 Windows 2008 Domain Controllers.

Will i be ok to restore these 3 servers to a DR server and power them up? I recall previously in another environment this was not working.

I think Microsoft do not recommend restoring of DC's from Back?

Any thoughts?
