Restore a drive and keep shadows copy data from previous drive

I need to restore a complete drive (D:) to another letter (T:) but the shadow copy is activated on the original Drive (D:)...
How Can I keep the shadown copy data then my users can use it when my data will restore to the new letter T:\

I would've thought a volume backup would capture the full contents of the drive. Within the OS you should be able to change the volume you store the shadow copies on. So maybe you would just use that? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previo ... 3(v=ws.10)
