Restore backup job data from backup copy job data?

Hi

In a scenario where I have 1 backup job with a "linked" backup copy job. If I would loose all data for the backup job. Could I then use the backup copy job data to restore all vbk, vib and vbm files for the backup job? Or can I attach backup copy job data to the backup job and start backup of VMs against that data instead? What would be the steps to get back backup data for the backup job and start backup VMs again?

Hello Magnus,

You cannot map backup file produced by backup copy job to primary backup job, so this backup file can be used only for restore purposes (you can restore your VM back to the production but primary backup should be recreated from scratch). Cheers!
