Hi
We are using a guest interaction proxy to backup servers on an external network. This works without a problem.
But what is the best practice for the restore? The backupserver isn't able to reach the servers.
How do we restore to an external network on file level?
Kind regards
Mathias

Hi Mathias and welcome to the community!
You should deploy the Mount server in the external network.
Please review this article about File-level restore scenarios for additional information. Thanks!

Re: restore backup to external network on file level
Hi DGrinev
Thank you for the quick answer.
So if I understand the concept of mount servers correctly, it would be ok to launch the B&R console from the guest interaction proxy?
This will probably only work if I give the GIP access to the backup repository I geuss.
Kind regards

Yes, you can deploy Veeam B&R Console on the GIP VM and use it as Mount Server for the remote repository. Thanks!
