Hi,
We have a ESXi host that we backup using Veeam 3.01 to a NFS store. We now have a second host running ESX4 and want to move the virtual machines to the new host. Can we restore the backups from ESXi to the new ESX4 host? We have also bought Veeam Backup 4.
Thanks.

Re: Restore ESXi Backup to ESX4 Using Veeam 3.01
Hello,
Yes, surely, you can do that. But before, please, upgrade your Veeam Backup and Replicaton to 3.1.1 version (our current version), which fully supports vSphere, here is the link for upgrade instructions:
http://www.veeam.com/files/release_note ... _3_1_1.pdf (page 6)
You should be logged in to the website to be able to view the document
All your configurations will remain the same after the upgrade. Finally, add ESX4 host to your Veeam backup console, and perform the restore opreation.
Thank you.
