We have a tape backup of our old 2010 exchange server. We need to recover a mailbox from that tape.
However, since that tape was made, we've updated all our exchange servers to 2013. So currently, Veeam explorer for exchange is pointing to the ese.dll on our 2013 server.
Do I simply need to provide the explorer (additionally) with the ese.dll from a 2010 install disk, and all is well? I'll be able to restore 2010 *and* 2013 mailboxes?

Re: Restore exchange 2010 mailbox to exchange 2013?
Hello,
if it does not work out of the box, then yes, use the old ese.dll.
I see no reason why it should not work
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Restore exchange 2010 mailbox to exchange 2013?
It did, in fact, work. I found the ese.dll from 2010 and tossed it (and the 2013 ese.dll) into a couple folders on our veeam server for easier access. Added the 2010 dll into veeam, found the calendar items we were looking for, and restored them directly into the client's 2013 mail account. Done!
Very impressive, actually.
