Hello everyone,
I think it is possible to make a backup copy of an Oracle archive log backup using the Immediate copy option of the Backup Copy job.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100
However, the Veeam Explorer documentation says:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100
--------
A point in time restore is not supported for replicas and backups stored in the DR site by backup copy jobs, nor it is supported for backups stored in a cloud repository. Such repositories cannot be used as a destination location for archived logs.
--------
It says that archive logs cannot be stored in the repository for Backup Copy jobs.
I think these are inconsistent.
Which is correct?
Regards,
Yuya

Re: Restore from backup copy of archived logs
Hello,
yes, you can do point in time restore from the backup copy job destination if the logs are transferred with the mirror mode.
I'll talk to the documentation team. Thanks for the heads up!
Best regards,
Hannes
