Restore FULL VM to original location only.

Hello,

We would like to give our customer the oportunity, via Enterprise manager, to restore by themselves their VM but we didn't find any option that could only allow them to perform a "in-place full VM restore only".

This option exists for the Guest Files restore if we create a "Restore Operator" role : "Guest Files > Allow in-place file restores only"
There isn't this option for the Entire Virtual machines.

Is there a way to do enable it ? If not, could it be a feature Request ?

Hello Fabien,

Restore to original location is supported from Machine tab. You can define the list of specific machines by setting up Restore Scope for your user. Will that work for your customer? Thanks!

Thank's for your response, but i think i was not clear enough.
In fact we need to allow only Full VM restore to our customer (Overwrite the existing VM only). We don't want them to have the possibility to restore to a new location.
I tried all Enterprise Role type, and they all seem to have the possibility to restore & keep the existing VM.


With the Guest File Restore, we have the option to "Allow in-place restores file only" which does not exist for Full VM restore.

Could you confirm this fact ?
