Restore VM with the vSphere snapshots intact

I had a VM with multiple snapshots. I deleted the snapshots then realized I needed them back. I restored the VM and the snapshots are missing, one of the last tasks after the restore is the Veeam service account removing the snapshots in vSphere.

Is there a way to restore a VM with the old snapshots intact?

Unfortunately not, veeam only backs up the current state of the VM, snapshots are not included.
