Restore wizard not showing restore points

Hi all,

quick question - has anyone any idea as to why even though I have specified to keep 30 restore points on disk in a veeam job, and if I explore the repository I can see that this is the case, when I go to do a restore only 12 of them are offered to me to restore from?

Hi Steven,

Do you have all 30 restore points successfully created (you can check that via reviewing job settings)? Do you see the same issue for all VMs in the job? Do you have a support case opened for this?

thanks for the quick reply. I should mention the restore points offered are the 12 more recent ones. Yes it appears to be the same for others vm's in the same job. And for vm's in other jobs. I have not opened a support case, thought I'd run it by people in here first.

Edit, not sure where to check the restore points were successfully created or not? Statistics of historic job?

Yes, you can either use Veeam ONE reporting engine or click through the job sessions. Can you please post screenshots of your job settings and files list in the repository?

Hi Vitaly,

ok it's panic over after a quick chat with the software vendor it became obvious that this was due to us moving to a new vCenter server around the time of the restore point cut off. If I had looked more closely I would have noticed that there was another restore point option with the missing ones associated with it (the ones in the retention period before the move to the new vCenter).

I hope this explains it. Thanks for the replies, I should have copped this myself before posting it here.
