Hello,
We have configured VBR servers on Windows OS where we found VBR console getting logged in with local authentication. Secondly we have administrators created in server but while login if they select "Windows Authentication" option they are able to access applicaiton with backup jobs etc. I want to block "Windows Authentication" option so that authorised users can only login Veeam Backup Server console with own passwords only.
Kindly help as i could not see any such option inside user role management.
Thanks
Hiten

Re: Restrict Access for Authenticating VBR console
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
What is the goal?
Local administrators can always get access to an application (whether Veeam or something else). There is no way to protect against local admin / root. In other products (MS SQL server, VMware Vcenter, Oracle etc.) there is documentation available, how to become application admin for a local admin / root. As there is always a way around, the way to go is protecting the backup server access.
Best regards,
Hannes
