Retention: delete primary only when secondary was successful

Dear all,
currently I use backup VM to primary store with short retention policy (1 restore point) and copy the VBK, VIB files to LTO tape using another software.
But if the tape loader fails, then the files will be deleted anyways because of the retention policy in the backup job.
I wanted to configure a secondary destination to tape on the job, but see no setting to delete restore points from primary destination only when a copy to the secondary destination was successful.
Any ideas how to make this work?

Hi Boian, there's no such an option in Veeam B&R, each job has independent retention. Moreover, I would not recommend such setup, since should you lose your tape for some reason, you will end up with no backups at all.
