Hello everybody,
we used Veeam 7 Essential Enterprise to backup 4 VM's. We used one backup-job to backup all 4VM's via reverse incremental.
My problem is, that it seems, that the reverse incremental file grows up unnormally.
The daily fullbackup is ~340GB large, the first reverse incremental file 4,5GB and the latest (after 4 days) 15GB
is it normally or maybe wrong configuration?
Thanks
NA

Re: reverse incremental file grows
Hello! What kind of VMs are you backing up? SQL Server? Exchange? Thanks!

Re: reverse incremental file grows
Also, are there any specific activities being performed inside VMs on regular basis, such as, defragmentation, antivirus, etc. ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: reverse incremental file grows
There is one SmallBusiness-Server, one small Server with an SQL-Server (only few changes) installed and 2 Terminal-Servers.
Specific activities are not performed.

Re: reverse incremental file grows
Since it is an SBS VM, I would say it is expected to have fairly large incremental files due to SQL and Exchange Servers installed there. See this existing topic for further reading > http://forums.veeam.com/viewtopic.php?f ... tic#p45789
