Hi,
I would like to see that the secondary arrays can be used the same functionality as the primary array or backup repositories.
The documentation says(Storage user guide):
[For secondary storage arrays] You cannot perform Instant VM Recovery and restore VM guest OS files to the original location from snapshots on secondary storage arrays — NetApp SnapMirror, SnapVault and Nimble Snapshot Replicated Copy. Secondary storage arrays are not mapped to original VMs and datastores.
I would like to see the following possibility:
- Snapvault are listed as restore points just as any other backup
With this it should be possible to use the snapvault as a instant vm recovery to the original location. Also single file recover directly to the original host.

No replies, not even from Veeeam.
Now that makes me feel pretty alone in the world, or just the only one using Veeam with Netapp.....

Hi Henrik, sorry for the delay in response. You're definitely not the only one. We actually have this requirement tracked but I cannot provide any ETA on when this can be implemented. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
