Hi,
I'm deleting obsolete rman backups through rman. Something like this:
RMAN> delete force noprompt backupset 1163156;
using channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1
using channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_2
using channel ORA_DISK_1
deleted backup piece
backup piece handle=DATA_OTA01_533759336_20230825_h324locl_1_1.vab RECID=8716 STAMP=1145758101
Deleted 1 objects
rman reports the backupset is removed succesfully but if I look in the 'Veeam Backup and Replication' -> Files but I still see the file on Veeam.
So my question is: are these files removed at a later time by some Veeam process?
regards,
Ivan

Re: rman delete backupset & Veeam
Hi Ivan,
It's not normal that the file is still there despite RMAN reporting the successful deletion, it must be deleted during the command execution.
Do you see the same file present if you open another file browser, not the Files view in the Veeam B&R console?
Did you try F5 or Refresh the view using the right click menu ?
Also, do you have a support case ID? It looks like a technical issue.
Thanks!

Re: rman delete backupset & Veeam
Hi PetrM,
Today I did restart the "Veeam Backup and Replication" console and I can see the files are gone. Next time I'll try a F5 to refresh the screen.
Thanks!
Ivan
