RMAN Plugin - Restore to another server + from backup copy

Hello guys!

Is possible to restore to another server and from a backup copy ? Scenario: Customer have sites A and B, the production site is A. Then backup is done on site A and then copied to the site B. At site B there is an Oracle server that must do the restore of the data from another server ( Oracle in site A ) and from backup files copied to the site B.

The documentation show that s possible do the two things separatelly, but not the two things togheter at time sime.

Questions: Is there a dedicated forum to the RMAN Plugin ?

Hi Diogo, yes, this is possible provided you enable the restore from backup copy option. RMAN will simply use backup copies instead of primary backup files as a source for restore operations.
