Rolling Back from Veeam 10 to 9.5
Hi,
Please assist. Looking for a method to do a roll back of an upgrade from Veeam 10 to Veeam 9.5.
Client has requested that the license they will not change it from 9.5 to 10 VUL so they have explicitly stated that i should roll back.
Anyone that has a way to do this, help will be appreciated.

Re: Rolling Back from Veeam 10 to 9.5
Hi, Nigel.
Unfortunately, downgrades are not possible. Do you still have configuration backups from 9.5? If yes, then do a clean 9.5 install, then restore the backup.
However, your client does not have to change to VUL? They can keep using their current socket license also with v10 (and even with the upcoming v11). So I suggest you discuss this with them to ensure there's no misunderstanding on their end regarding v10 licensing.
Thanks!

Re: Rolling Back from Veeam 10 to 9.5
The license is refusing to apply when i try it. That is why they have requested me rather to roll back to v9.5 because the license still work on 9.5.
On 10 it refused to convert when i was doing the install and now when i try to upload the license it refuses.
How would i use this v9.5 license on v10? a step by step would be appreciated

v10 has a new license file format, so you cannot use v9.5 license file with it.
Your client should have both v9.5 and v10 license available for download from the Customer Portal.
What error do you see when supplying v10 license file to v10?

Re: Rolling Back from Veeam 10 to 9.5
The license i could not apply so i simply rolled them back to 9.5.
I met a challenge as the administrator previously had not taken a config backup so i had to re-program all the jobs with over 100 vm's.
Issue was not solved. But i can say case closed because there is no workaround.
