run a script after replication finished on DRsite
Dear all
Hi
i want replicate a windows machine but want when replication has been finished it automatically run a script on replica machine that is on my DR site can i do it with veeam?
because in guest processing step when select application button in script tab can select pre-freeze script and post-thaw script but each of them i select and put scripy in that script not excute successfull and replication not do
what is problem???

but i want that script run on replica machine on DRsite not on backup server i don't want run script on veeam server for example i have a vm that name is sql on product site i create a replica job from my sql vm on DR site and that's name on Drsite is sql-replica i want that script run on sql-replica vm
how can do that??

Hi,
The script won't run because the replica is not started. If you start it while the original VM is still running then you might end up with MAC conflict between both VMs.
First of all, would you please tell what exactly do you want the script to do on the DR VM?

i have a script that copy some files from drive C to drive D i want run this script while my replica machine has been power on on DRsite (sql_replica)

It's not quite clear whether you want the script to start right after you failover to DR, or you want it to copy files right after the replication process is finished?

Then try to place a startup script inside the original VM that checks MAC address of the VM. If the address is the same as on the original VM then the script should just exit. If MAC is different then it would imply that it is running inside a replica thus it should start copying files from C to D.
