Safe to cancel

Post by sixpack »

Is it safe to cancel a replica job of Exchange 2003 in the latest version of Veeam?

It warns of the replica becoming inconsistent when you try to stop the job.

That is true, actual VMDK will become inconsistent and you will not be able to simply start the replica VM up from VIC in case of disaster. You will however be able to failover to earlier point using Veeam Backup UI. Thank you.

Will future runs of the job be successful or does the job need to do a full replication first?
