Hello Johannes,

Snapshots (running pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts) shall not purge the logs. Backup of the HANA DB with Veeam plugin for SAP HANA shall perform this requirement. Plugin backup does not takes any input from snapshot script, it performs the "Purge log" by itself(Hence, no interference between plugin and snapshot script is required). Ideally, Customer plans both the methods(snapshots plus plugin backup) where automatic purging of transaction logs is not done by any other explicit scripts.
