yes, this is way as well, but it hard to dictate to customer to use encryption if our security goal it is.
so i would prefer central encryption like from veeam side.

I agree that the feature would be nice, but chances for a short-term solution are low.

if you as service provider only want encryption... what about using filesystem encryption? Or self encrypting disks / storage encryption? The result would be the same: you as service provider can read the data in any case.

it is option, but its another cost for backup infrastructure ... for short term solution could be, but not as long term solution
what about long term solution available in veeam 12?

with short-term I mean V12 (because it's the next "major feature release")... we will consider it for later versions (also depending on demand by other customers)
