SAP HANA Plugin - Backup metadata is not up to date

Hello!

After upgrading my VBR and Plugin to latest version, i note that all jobs now show the message:

"Backup metadata is not up to date. Please upgrade the backup." Any idea what is the source for this message and how can i fix it ?

Thank you. It seems obvious but the message on backup session could be more accurate.

I will procede with the upgrade of backup files.

May you elaborate on how the message can be improved? Current wording seems to do its job: identifies the problem and suggests the remedy action. Thanks!

Sure. For example, the message could show a KB or a documentation terms like: "Upgrading Backup Files" instead only "Upgrade Backup". This will make more easy to find documentation about the procedure.

Also, this message could be a "warning" because in soon, the old format will not work anymore.

Hi Diogo,

If it was a warning, all job sessions would automatically finish with inappropriate status right after upgrade of Veeam B&R, it's not something that we want because backup itself is successful. The purpose of this message is to inform you that a corresponding backup needs to be upgraded and looks like the purpose is achieved Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind!
