Hi huys,
i am going to upgrade a VBR server from 10.0.0 to 11a.
The plug-in for SAP HANA is on version 9.5.4 and is installed on a SLES virtual machine.
I know from documentation that the backup job isn‘t running right after the VBR upgrade to 11a until i upgrade the plug-in.
Is it possible to upgrade from 9.5.4 to 11a directly without configuration loss?
What is the best upgrade path?
And do you know if the upgrade of the plug-in is forcing a reboot of the SLES machines?
Do you have experience on that to share?
Thanks in advance
Karsten

Re: SAP HANA Plug-In Upgrade
Hello,
yes, the configuration stays the same. Upgrade is one rpm command. Make sure to upgrade the backup files for better performance.
I cannot remember any situation where a plugin would require reboot.
Best regards,
Hannes
