saparate networks for backups

Post by Liro10 »

Hi

i have 2 networks card that installed at all my vm's, one is for production traffic (10.195.20.x) and one for backup traffic (10.195.21.x)
i tried to setup the VEEAM 8.0 to Use only the backup card but it doesn't work
when i am running the backup i can see that only the production card is working once the backup is running
i setup the backup network at the Network traffic rule:
Source ip: 10.195.21.1 to 10.195.21.32
Target : 10.195.21.1 to 10.195.21.32
and check the "prefer the following networks for backup and replication traffic".
after i did all this i run the backup and i can see that still only the production card is working and not the backup

any suggestions why it's not working?

Hi,

Did you mean that you have two separate physical NICs (NIC1, NIC2) on your host and two vSwitches - one for backup, containing NIC1, another one for production, containing NIC2? Please describe the way you've configured your vSwitches and port groups. Also please refer to this thread.

Thank you.
