Hello,
In Veeam v12, I was storing the VBR configuration backup on my immutable repo (Rocky Linux). When I needed to restore it, I would connect via WinSCP, go to /mnt/veeam-repository/backups, copy the config backup to the VBR server, and restore it without issues.
Now with the new hardened repository, if I try to access /var/lib/veeam/backups, I get a permissions error and can’t retrieve the configuration backup.
I also tried restoring directly from the repo, but when I select it and click “Browse”, I get the error: "failed to connect to VBR".
So what’s the correct way now to access that folder or restore a configuration backup stored on an immutable repository?

Re: Restoring VBR Configuration Backup from Hardened Repository
Hi ajulio,
Correct, the hardened repository is locked down pretty heavily. The Configuration Restore will allow you to select from added Backup Repositories. On the Veeam Software Appliance, this is under the Host Management Console
In a disaster recovery situation where the Backup Server is lost, you would recreate the Backup Server and then generate a new pairing code for the Hardened Repository to connect it to the new backup server.
