Scripting/Automated Recovery

Post by JohnWarby »

Can you tell me if it is possible to script jobs with Veeam? What I am thinking about is automatically restoring the contents of a specific directory in SQL Server Backups. So lets say an SQL Maintenance Plan backups up to all its databases to .Bak files located in D:\SQLBackups on a daily basis. When Veeam has completed its daily backup job, I am looking for a way to automatically restore the D:\SQLBackup contents to a different location. This remote location will be off the VEeeam Server, and will ultimately be offsite. Whether this can be done automatically, from a Console Job, or be script, I do not know. Please can anyne advise on what to do to achieve thhis, prefereably withouyt manual intervention.

At present we use a third party product to achieve this process, but they are expensive and they are not reliable! I am looking for a solution to replace it

Many Thanks
John
