I've a script that is run after a job that moves a VM back to its original unlicensed host.
This works just fine for a DC replica Job.The machine is moved, replcaued and then moved back.
However the same script for another VM doesn't run, the script times out after 15 minutes,
then the job fails as the machine is still on an unlicensed host.
The batch script runs fine when run from the command line but it times out as part of the job.
Batch file is
C:\WINDOWS\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe "& 'C:\Scripts\mail2013before.ps1'"
Script file is
add-pssnapin VMware.VimAutomation.Core
Connect-VIserver 172.16.32.45
Move-VM -VM Mail2013 -Destination esxhost3.domain.com
If I run the batch and machine migrates no problem and yes the security settings for the user are correct.
And the migration takes 2 mionutes max so it's not a real timeout that they system is reporting.
Like I say I have it working for 3 other VMs no problem and just copied the batch & poweshell scripts and
edited the names. I've double triple checked spelling, path etc. It's not due to insufficient resources or
security settings. Any ideas= short of re-creating the job.

Re: Scripts failing to run
Cannot comment on the script and the way you have everything set up rigth now, but why not to use Veeam Backup FREE for hosts which you don't have Veeam backup license keys for? This can be automated and is fully supproted > https://www.veeam.com/blog/veeam-backup ... shell.html

Re: Scripts failing to run
Because I'd like it to work with the script.
It works for other servers and the script itself works fine.
Will raise a support ticket.

Not sure that our support team can assist you with this workaround to our licensing rules, but you can give it a try.
