Searching for objects in B&R GUI 6.1.0.181

Selecting Backup & Replication > Backups > Disk in the GUI or just the Backups
All my Backups (Jobs) are displayed
I then try search for an object, inputing ANY character, backups completely disappear. Zero results.

Don't experience this behaviour in similar styled History branch when searching for an object. Get results.

I actually wanted to search within Veeam B&R that a specific VM is being backed up.

Is there another way?

You can use the enterprise manager, web-base and better fit for this kind of activities.

Stuart, I just tried to use search in the Backups node, and it looks to be working (as well as in all nodes under it). It searches for the VMs containing specified characters (not the job name). If you can confirm it is not working for you, I would suggest to contact our support team to reveal the reasons. Thanks!

A reboot just out of sanity, and retry and then support contact.
