Hi,
every month I copy Veeam Backup Files to a USB device for of site archiving.
I'm also using Veeam Enterprise Manager for guest OS file search. If I import a backup file from USB disk, this backup is not available in the search. Is it possible to import also the search index.
Is there a better way to archive backups to USB disks? A "archive to" function would be nice were the search index is not removed from the Enterprise Manager.
Thx

Re: Searching Imported VM Backups for Guest OS Files
A couple of questions:
1) Is indexing option enabled in the job settings?
2) How did you import backups by assigning repository role to a drive and rescanning it afterwards? Or by selecting backup/meta file?
3) While importing is "import guest index" option selected?
Thanks.
