searching logs - throughput for the copyjobs

Post by meisve »

Hello together,

I'm looking / seaching the logs - throughput for the copyjobs ... where can I find it? At the repository server (current RHEL - /var/log/VeeamBackup/*copyjob*) or VBR Server *veeamlogs*?
Or can I also read out the throughput via powershell - for copyjob or VM?

Thanks for help and information

regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

May I ask you what exactly you are looking for in these logs? Is it some sort of troubleshooting?
I would start with the logs located in ProgramData/Veeam/Backup/JobName but need to clarify what exactly you need to do.

Thanks!

Hello,
I would just get the data from direct the network card / operating system. That should be more reliable than crawling through logs.

I used Nagios for that since many years and I assume that every monitoring tool can do it.

Best regards,
Hannes

Hello,

we use monitoring tools (icinga/Nagios and other), but we see the total throughput of the network cards (bond). It is also interesting, the throughput only for the job or tasks (VM) during the copy process.
If Veeam logs throughput as well, it would be nice to know where ...

thanks and regards,
Andreas
