I think veeam is great and I have on-site and off-site backups with the software. For the sake of diversity/redundancy I'd also like to backup my file servers with Crashplan (free). Is anyone else doing this? Have you experienced problems? I wasn't planning on backing up the veeam backup files but actually installing the software and have it running backups on the file servers. I feel that approach gives me an added layer of protection should veeam be experiencing problems that go unnoticed...until DUN DUN DUN!

Re: Secondary backup using Crashplan
Never heard about Crashplan, but you may also consider using built-in Windows Backup engine (seems more popular on these forums). Thanks!

Re: Secondary backup using Crashplan
Also, what Veeam product edition you’re using? Enterprise edition and higher provide you with the ability to automatically verify existing backup/replication data (Surebackup), guaranteeing that no issue with backups will slip from your attention.
Thanks.
Thanks.
