Secure restore issue - Trend Micro
Hello all and thanks in advance for any help.
I am using Veeam v 10, with physical proxies and repositories. All servers are using Trend Micro as the AV software.
We are trying to use the "Secure Restore" to use the Malware scan before recovery and get this error:
"Unable to perform malware scan"
"Error - Cannot detect known antivirus software on the backup repository's mount server."
I have verified that Trend is enabled on our Veeam server, proxies and repo's.
Yes I have contacted support, uploaded logs, but they have been slow to reply. So I am reaching out to the community.
thanks
Steve

Re: Secure restore issue - Trend Micro
Hi Steve!
Currently out-of-the-box supported antiviruses include Symantec Protection Engine, ESET, Windows Defender and Kaspersky Security 10.
In order for Sercure Restore to work with Trend Micro, You need to add Trend Micro's settings into Veeam's antivirus XML as described here. It requires a path to TM scanning executable, command line parameters for us to scan, as well as exit codes TM will pass for us to translate into common English.
There are few examples here, including 2 versions of Trend Micro, but im not sure if those are correct. Worth checking anyway!
/Cheers!

Hello
Any word/update on the "This is still an ongoing call with Veeam. They are working with Trend to get it resolved. Hopefully its soon!!!" ...
I have been unable to get this working with Trend Micro WFBS, it is the cloud service variant of it that deploys the security agent. And I am interesting in knowing if it is one of the Trend products that was still work in progress/affected etc
New Case # 05099653
Cheers
